A899 Houston Interchange, West Lothian: a night of planing, resurfacing and line marking for West Lothian Council.
The job
We carried out night works at the A899 Houston Interchange for West Lothian Council. The failing areas of surface were planed out and resurfaced, a full line marking refresh was laid, and Hapas joint repairs were carried out. The work covered the curved slip road, where we laid new asphalt, fresh edge and lane lines and relaid the lane arrows, and the junction, where we laid out the hatching on the new surface.
Working on site
The work was done at night, with the planing, resurfacing, line marking and joint repairs all delivered in one programme. The Hapas repairs form the joint between the new surface and the existing carriageway at the junction.
