Asda Dunbar, East Lothian: planing, surfacing and line marking across the store car park.
The job
We planed, resurfaced and marked out areas of the car park at Asda Dunbar. A cold planer took out the old surface and loaded a tipper alongside, with a backhoe loader working the same area. New asphalt followed, with a roller working the access road, and the line marking went back on top: bay lines, exit and traffic arrows, and the grocery collection bays by the store entrance.
Working on site
The car park stayed in use around the works, so the resurfacing was done in sections rather than across the whole car park at once. The grocery collection lane, beside the store entrance, was relaid with its arrows and lettering as part of the same job.
