McDonald’s, Cameron Toll, Edinburgh: minor road marking repairs.
The job
We carried out minor road marking repair works at the McDonald’s at Cameron Toll in Edinburgh.
About the area
Cameron Toll is a suburb about two miles south of Edinburgh city centre, in the City of Edinburgh council area. The shopping centre stands on a 26-acre site between the A7 and the A701. It’s about 5 miles by road from our yard at Bilston Glen, Loanhead.
Nearby work
At the same centre, we’ve also done the the Cameron Toll night shift resurfacing and the the Cameron Toll excavation reinstatement, and nearby we’ve worked at Haymarket Junction.
What this kind of job involves
Road markings do most of the work at a drive-through. Lane lines, arrows, stop and give-way markings guide cars through a tight space and keep them clear of pedestrians, so faded markings are worth repairing quickly. Minor repairs are usually done by re-lining over the existing layout in short sessions outside peak trading hours, with paint or thermoplastic matched to what’s already there.
