BP garage, Newbridge: infrastructure for EV chargers installed inside a very busy garage.

The job

We installed the infrastructure for EV chargers at the BP garage in Newbridge. The groundworks ran from the open trench to the finished surface: ducting laid on timber supports, with concrete poured over the run before backfilling; chambers set into the ground alongside the building; and copper pipework and a valve set into the excavation ready for connection. The chamber covers were finished flush with the surface along the new kerb line.

Working on site

The garage was very busy throughout, which made the contract a challenge, and a high standard of workmanship was maintained from start to finish. The trenches ran close to the building, so the ducting, chambers and backfill were built in sequence in a tight working area.
